Piercing Scar: You can never completely get rid of all scarring after a piercing but perhaps a physician can help minimize the scarring through advice, injections of medication or minor procedures.

Plastic surgery : If you want the pierce removed, careful plastic surgical excision can replace the bad scar (and pierce) with a better, flatter scar in many (but not all) cases. If you have a keloid, usually from irritation and inflammation around a pierce, steroid injection or re-excision may be recommended, but keloid scarring can also recur. See an abps-certified plastic surgeon for consultation.
