It's possible: A dental abscess can drain to the tonsils causing sore throat or bacteria draining into your mouth from the abscess can infect the tonsils also causing inflammation and soreness of your throat. If you suspect that you are suffering from a dental abscess see your dentist to get treatment. There are other causes of sore throat and hoarseness but you need to rule out the dental cause.
