Diet for mono: Since the initial sympmtoms include sore throat, cold liquids will be more soothing to the throat than warm soup. As the tonsils improve, so wil the sore throat and problem swallowing. Then anything you have eaten previously will become easier to swallow. Eat healthy foods and drink lots of liquids while resting during recovery.
