Sunflower seeds: Benefits outweigh any dangers. Examples are high content of essential fatty acids such as linoleic acid, dietary fiber, tryptophan, vitamin b1 & e & folic acid, and the cholesterol lowering phytosterols. The only negative is that if the seeds are old, ingesting them might cause stomach irritation with bloating & diarrhea.
