Narcissism: The person believes s/he is special or unique -- more so than others. May also be preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success and power. Feels entitled to special treatment and deference from others; is haughty and lacks empathy for others. Needs excessive admiration, and when this isn't forthcoming, may erupt in rage. May exploit others without concern for their needs.

Narcissism: The hallmark of a narcissist is an immense ego, grandiosity, and self-importance, as well as being entitled, and a tendency to use and objectify others as well as thinking of people in all-good or all-bad terms instead of shades of gray. The core of a narcissist is profound insecurity.
