A member asked:

What is a soft tissue injury?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bruises, etc....: Soft tissue is a collective term applied to injury of skin, the fat and layers beneath the skin, but also can include the muscles, ligaments , tendons and even nerves if passing through that area. It is a colloquial term rather than a specific medical term that would accurately describe an injury.
