how do you treat a swollen thumb?

1 doctor answer
Dr. David Tuckman
22 years experience Hand Surgery
R.I.C.E.: The best way to treat any swelling is rest, ice, compression and elevation. If the swelling is from an injury i would recommend and xray to make sure you do not have a fracture.
