Basic stuff: First, get vaccinated so you don't get it in the first place. But if you do get it, stay home, wash your hands often, sneeze into your arm rather than your hand, and avoid touching or kissing people.

Hygiene, stay home: If you have the flu, stay home and don't expose others. Cough, sneeze into your sleeve, discard used tissues, wash or use hand sanitizer frequently. Clean commonly touched objects like doorknobs, faucets, toilet flusher, refrigerator door, etc. Separate your toothbrush from family members. Tamiflu (oseltamivir) may reduce viral shedding. It's better to prevent the flu, get the vaccine.
