A member asked:

What do lymphocytic and myelogenous mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Type of cells: These terms are usually associated with leukemia. In simple terms here is an answer. The lymphocytic types are derived from lymph cell lines. The myelogenous cells are from the neurtrophil line and monocyte line. The treatment depends on the cell type. There are multiple sub-types of these leukemias, when more complex testing is done to the cells that are malignant.
