My aunt has just been diagnosed with acute myelogenous luekemia. whats her road look like ahead?

Serious problem: How old is your aunt? AML as this disease is called is a potentially fatal illness for which we still lose more than half of the patients. Yet you can look at the flip side and note that about 30-40% of AML patients can be cured especially in the younger individuals. The results are best when patients are treated at a major Cancer Center where you can find a AML specialist.
