Curcumin: Turmeric contains cucuminoids like curcumin. This has anti-inflammatory & antioxidant effects. It increases Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor which might help w brain functioning & v risk of some brain conditions such as Alzheimer's. It may help w treatment of arthritis & is reported to have anticarcinogenic effects.
