Several possiblities: Okay to check in with your surgeon if you are having problems. Mesh in the pelvic area can be associated with certain problems, like movement, shrinkage, erosion. The surgeon who placed the mesh is the best doc to get evaluated by. Good luck.

Complications rare: Vaginal mesh has been used safely on thousands of women. The newer mesh kits use smaller amounts of mesh. The most common complication is a superficial exposure of the mesh in the vagina. This can be trimmed in the office in most cases. Occasionally the mesh can cause pain near the top of the vagina. This will often resolve in 3-9 months.

Depends. : Common problems related to vaginal mesh implants and slings include pelvic pain, painful intercourse, difficulty urinating, pain with bowel movements and mesh erosion. The most effective treatment for these types of problems is removal of the implant. Mesh removal surgery is very effective and safe with a surgeon experienced in these type of procedures.
