Not necessarily: Mesh products have been used in surgical procedures for a long time. Over the last 5-10 years there has been a large increase in their use in female pelvic relaxation surgery. Most of the mesh problems are rare and if they do occur they cause symptoms. If you are having no problems, you should just schedule your routine annual gynecologic visit. The pelvic exam would identify most mesh issues.

If you are not : Experiencing any problems and had a surgery with mesh. There is no need to worry or be examined.
