A member asked:

Is an artificial wrist joint suggested for a 27 y/o male?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!: Out of all artificial joints, wrist and ankle probably have the least indications for use. Any joint replacement at your age will wear out. A wrist fusion is a better option. Although you won't be able to move the wrist, a solid fusion is painless and virtually indestructible. Most people can compensate for the lack of wrist motion without much difficulty.
