Varies. : After surgery, patients are admitted with a catheter in place & often a pelvic drain. Hospital stay is 1-2 days, & the drain is removed usually at discharge. The urinary catheter is removed at 5-7 days. Almost all men at this point will experience urinary leakage & erectile dysfunction, which improves with time. At 6 weeks, the incision site should be healed and all activity restrictions lifted.
