Many options: Many types of peripheral neuropathy are irreversible and chronic, depending upon the cause of your peripheral neuropathy. Medicines used to treat neuropathy are effective at controlling symptoms, but not reversing the condition. They work best at treating shooting, prickling, buzzing, burning, electrical symptoms. They are ineffective for alleviating numbness/dullness.
