Tinnitus: It is unlikely that you went to a specialist. I do not think that a competent ear doctor would treat you with an antibiotic for a sinus infection with a principal symptom of noise in the ear. Noise in the ear or tinnitus is usually of unknown etiology and if not associated with a hearing loss or vertigo is usually of little significance. See an ENT doctor for an appropriate diagnosis.
