May try..: Make sure you are diagnosed first. For simple menstrual cramps, always look at your diet. Drop the amount of salt in diet. Eat foods rich in magnesium such as whole grains, nuts, leafy greens and seeds. Also there are some studies looking at omega 3 fatty acids found in salmon, sardines or fish oil capsules. And there is the old "stand by" a heating pad.
