How soon can my 13 year old son resume sports after a minor growth ate injury in his wrist?

Chech with doc: The function of the brace is to protect the growth plate from further injury as it heals & reduce the chances of premature growth plate fusion & possible shortening of the arm on that side. The brace can be removed for bathing but should be warn at all other times for the healing period, often 3-4 weeks.Ask the doc for specifics.

Depends: Depends on the severity of injury and type of sport. In general more severe injuries and more intense contact sports require a longer period of abstinence. Most growth plate injuries require 2-4 months to fully heal and rehab. A minor injury suggests that your son is on the low end of the time frame.
