A member asked:

I had table tilt test.my bp dropped when turned upright & i got dizzy. both recovered after 3minutes. my calves turned beet red halfway thru. cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Positive test?: Tilt table testing is used to diagnose a variety of reflexes, some of which are very troublesome. Your cardiologist or electrophysiologist can put this in context for you. You don't mention what your heart rate did or whether the tilt provoked pauses. The degree of BP drop is also crucial. Vasodepressor syncope, cardio-inhibitory or not, and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome are possible.
