Possible infection : Breast pain/redness is a sign of infection (cellulitis/abcess/mastitis). You should get seen for proper treatment. Another concern: 'inflammatory breast cancer' can present as redness in skin so this should also be considered and ruled out. Hope you are better soon!

Evaluation!!!: Any mass should first be evaluated by your primary care physician with possible diagnostic or therapeutic imaging. Most malignant tumors are warm and non-tender and therefore yours, at first description, sounds more like a benign process such as a cyst. Nevertheless, it should be evaluated by an expert.
