Cardiomyopathy: Some patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy may have no symptoms and live a normal lifespan, while others may have progressive deterioration over a short or long time period. For some patients this may be life limiting. The course of this disease varies and those with it should have routine follow up with their doctor.
