Is it true that you can get hemmoroids at any age?

No, rare in childhoo: True hemorrhoids are caused by something that persists over time. Usual causes are pregnancy in younger women, and straining at the stool in most others. Portal hypertension is another serious cause unrelated to bm habit. Only hemorrhoids which don't resolve with simple changes in bowel habit should need operation. Outpatient banding will take care of many of these.

Hemorrhoids: Yes, at any age. Hemorrhoids are swollen veins in the anal canal. This common problem can be painful, but it's usually not serious. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/tc/hemorrhoids-topic-overview-1#1
