Unlikely, but: Severe straddle injuries to the perineum and complex pelvic fractures can cause disruption to the urethra or pelvic floor, which could set up the conditions for inflammation of the prostate. Many cases of chronic prostatitis, however, are ultimately idiopathic, meaning no clear cause is found.
