How does a tumor turn into bone?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not sure I get: Your drift. Tumors metastasize via blood stream and set up colonies in bone. Breast tumors occur near stipled mico-calcfications seen on mammo, bony perhaps but not bone. And some tumors like oligodendrogliomas have flecks of calcium, fibroid benign tumors also calcify.
