Spray: You can call a professional exterminator, or you can try those aerosol spray "bombs" that you set off while you are away for a few hours. Not recommended if you live with pets, fish or children. Once you fix the infestation problem, the bites will go away.

Alcohol: Make a dilution (50/50) of rubbing alcohol and water and spray areas where the fleas are.The alcohol kills them and is a safe way to eliminate them. I have also used diatamaceous earth (not the kind used for the pool). Sprinkle it on infested areas and vacuum up later. This does work and is a bt messy and can clog your vacuum if not careful. I would try the alcohol dilution first.
