Possible: There are 5 varieties of arthritis that occur in people with psoriasis. Five are directly related, but indivduals with psoriasis can also have gout, rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis.

Psoriatic arthritis: Psoriatic arthritis is arthritis that occurs not surprisingly in people with the skin condition psoriasis. Most cases begin with the skin symptoms and the joint symptoms follow. There are several different manifestations of this problem, most can be effectively managed medically. Of note psoriasis has been linked to heart disease as well so maintaining a healthy weight and not smoking are impt.
