I am on methotrexate for psoriasis.for the last 3 months i have stiffness in my joints on hands and knees.could this be psoriatic psoriasis.thanks?

Yes: Yes, you could be developing psoriatic arthritis. Methotrexate may be helping the symptoms but you should follow up with a rheumatologist to make a correct diagnosis.

Yes.: Your symptoms suggest arthritis, it can be related to Psoriasis, but can also be the more common osteoarthritis. Follow up with your PCP for further testing.

Maybe: Approximately 20% of psoriasis patients get psoriatic arthritis (PSA). It depends on which joints are hurting and whether they are actually inflamed. There are other causes of joint pain unrelated to your psoriasis that need to be ruled out. A Rheumatologist can help you sort this out.

Yes: I guess you meant if this could be psoriatic arthritis and the answer is yes. Up to 30% of patients with psoriasis can develop psoriatic arthritis. Consult with your rheumatologist.
