NO!: For ethical reasons, this is an area with little human research. Animal studies of hyperbaric exposure revealed the following impacts on fetal development: low birth weights; fetal abortions & premature deliveries; malformations of the skull & limbs; amniotic fluid bubbles & blindness as well as cardiac and circulatory problems. There is a higher incidence of birth defects in diving mothers.
