Little bit.: White blood cells in diabetics become glycosylated, meaning they get glucose molecules attached to them. This attachment deforms the white blood cell structure a bit, which affects the function of the white blood cells and renders the diabetic a little bit immunocompromised. As such, diabetics are a bit more prone to infections and can't fight them off as well as someone without diabetes.
