Pruritus ani: The symptom of an itchy but is common. We have nerve fibers in that region that can be sensitive to spicy foods, caffeine, chocolate. It has nothing to do with personal hygiene. Unfortunately, one can start a vicious cycle of itching, irritating the area which makes it more sensitive to itching.
