The nurse has always given my blood test results over phone.ive been asked to come in to discuss my current results.is this cause for alarm?

not always: In my practice, we usually give out blood test results over the phone, but also have the patients come in periodically to monitor medications for side effects, compliance, etc. While i don't know your specific situation, I do not think it is unusual or unwarranted to ask the patient to come in periodically to discuss test results.
