Sounds viral: Your diarrhea may have been virally-mediated, or you have underlying irritable bowel syndrome (ibs) and at the time experienced a post-infectious flare. Your symptoms however occurred 8 months ago and presumably have not recurred, so there is little cause for your concern now--right?
