Tantrums are not: age-appropriate prosocial & coping skills in adulthood. When you & the person are calm, explain that you will not engage when (s)he is tantruming..no talking, glaring, yelling, no positive or negative attention of any kind to reinforce the tantrum. Consistently ignore tantrums as they get worse before they stop. Encourage the person to seek diagnosis & treatment by a psychiatrist & psychologist.
