A member asked:

What could cause a red dot in the white of my eye?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually benign: This is usually from a ruptured blood vessel and is nothing to worry about . If it recurrs then seek care as it may be sign of a bleeding problem. Also if it persists longer than 2 weeks it may be a lesion that may require biopsy. As always when in doubt see an eye md.
