Difficult: With your age and gestation of 24 weeks, you want to avoid surgery if at all possible. I've performed surgery in pregnant patients but only when absolutely necessary. Therefore, physical therapy is the mainstay of your treatment for now. See a neurosurgeon and get him involved in your care. Start physical therapy. No lifting, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling.

Several things: First, be careful of your activities and body mechanics. A physical therapist can help you with this. Sometimes a pregnancy harness can help and when indicated, an epidural steroid injection.
