?x-ray or bone scan: It isn't clear if you have an X-Ray or.bone scan, but sacroileitis can be an early sign of spondyloarthropathies. An appropriate history and physical with radiological studies can pick it up and if spondyloarthopathies are suspected more attention can be directed towards the history and physical as there are several disorders that are associated.

Very possible: If you have had a thorough exam, physical and maybe some imaging. SI joint pain and dysfunction is a clinical diagnosis. If you have the gold standard MRI of your back and everything is normal , except for pain in the SI joints then it is possible that is causing your symptoms. Good luck.
