Absolutely: Absolutely, the muscles involved in vomiting are not (hopefully) used frequently. Also the act of vomiting and having acidic material come into your throat can cause burning and inflammation. Violent vomiting can, in rare cases, lead to tears of the esophagus which can be very serious and potentially life-threatening.
