Urgency: Any adult with new onset severe chest pain should seek emergent medical evaluation. That said, there are many areas within the chest that can generate chest pain. This can include, but not limited to esophageal spasm, reflux, aortic pathology, heart disease, etc... You really need a thorough history review and physical exam to direct the investigation to an accurate diagnosis.
