Are people with diabetes more likely to die from swine flu?

No direct link but..: Even though there isn't a direct link between the two things you mentioned, diabetes is one of those conditions where it generally makes any other co existing condition that much worse. A healthy person is less likely to suffer a bad outcome from flu than a poorly controlled diabetic.
