Dr. Lesley Meister
Specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Yes: All women should try to be active during pregnancy. If not previously active, then moderate activity such as walking or swimming 30 minutes a day is recommended. If a pregnant woman is already active, then she should maintain that level of activity during pregnancy. There is no heart rate limit for these women, but if they make any changes they should do so slowly.

Many benefits: Exercise can be great for pregnancy! it helps with mood, helps to prepare your body for labor and delivery (building stamina), and can be a great time to connect with your partner and talk about your future child. However, it is important to discuss this with your doctor. Exercises to avoid include scuba diving and any contact sports.
A 35-year-old member asked:

How can I use an exercise app to prevent cravings?

1 doctor answer1 doctor weighed in
Dr. Seema Patel
Holistic Medicine 27 years experience
Not sure: Your question is not very clear. Craving for what? Food exercise, etc? Usually cravings are caused by repeated use of a substance, i.E caffeine, chocolate, etc; your body gets used to this; the best thing is to wean yourself off. You can go cold turkey or slow wean. Drink water because most things are dehydrating, chart to see triggers: menstrual cycle, moods, weather etc to prepare yourself.
