No: Hyperthymesia patients can recall almost every day of their lives in detail, without using effort. These patients are extremely rare. They are not able to forget the unimportant stuff, so the constant presence of all such memories can be a big problem. They cannot control it. People who happen to be really good at remembering new things, at studying, or at memorizing things are not hyperthymestic.
