Probably not socks: It takes pretty tight socks to cut off circulation (like the compression hose/socks patients wear to decrease leg swelling). It's safest to see a primary care doctor (bring the socks and shoes) and let the doctor decide if the problem is the socks or possibly another cause of legs swelling or poor circulation in the legs (such as heart, kidney, arterial, or hormonal problems).

Maybe : If boots or rarely sock are not properly fitting it is fairly common to have some swelling in yours legs. I would recommend that you first check the fitting make sure that they are not too tight in one place. If it persists see a doctor.
