I wore a pair of boots barefoot while suffering with athletes foot (unknowingly). if i wear these boots with socks from now on, will i be safe to continue wearing them or do i risk re infection? i dont know if i need to throw them out now :?

It is possible that moisture (mostly sweat) from the boots without socks contributed to your athlete's foot, that doesn't mean that's where the fungus originated. Mostly athlete's foot is overgrowth of fungi already present on the feet and in the environment. It wouldn't be a bad idea to wash out the boots with a detergent, rinse well, and let them dry -- then keep using them (with socks!).
