Helps....alot!: I to suffer from patella tendinitis, especially when i play basketball. The straps do seem to help, but i found that ice after playing is the best treatment for my symptoms. Exercises that focus on quad strengthening are also helpful, as are nsaid's. If your symptoms become unmanageable, visit a board certified orthopaedic surgeon for further treatment.
