Can obgyns keep information of teens from parents?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on age/state: By the age of 18 kids have reached the age in most locations where their conversations with a doctor are private & the kid would have to provide written permission to allow the parent to know they had actually visited a doctor, much less what went on at a visit. Some states allow kids to seek care for pregnancy, std's & similar issues without requiring parental permission. Check with your location.
