A member asked:

I have very slow moving bowel and i have to take something to get movement so i can go. the stool is very long and soft when i do go, about once a week. why can't i go more frequently?

Hard to say: Constipation (going <3 x week or with difficulty) has many causes, with diet and other medications you take playing a significant role in why you go so seldom. Discussing your medications with your doctor may help eliminate some of their side effects, boosting your fiber content and a thorough medical evaluation for things like low thyroid may shed some light as well.
