Will daily aspirin cause macular degeneration?

No: I do not know of any studies that suggest this.

Absolutely not: Recent evidence however suggests that if you develop the wet form of macular degeneration, you may bleed more in the macula (aspirin is a blood thinner). This has to be weighed against the benefits of being on daily Aspirin to the rest of your body. Do not stop your Aspirin on your own. Talk to your primary care doctor and your retina specialist and see what they say.
