What is a good home remedy for a swollen and purple eyelid?

Swollen eyelid: It depends on the cause of the swelling and discoloration. If it is from trauma (being hit) then ice is the best remedy. If it is from an insect bite or something else then you should see your physician. It could be an infection and should be treated immediately.
