What does it mean if i took a medication and i got really bad hives?

Don't take it!: The probability is that you are allergic to that medication and should avoid it. Depending on the particular medication subsequent reactions could be more severe, even life threatening. If the hives persist other possible causes of urticaria (hives) should be considered.
